Seems fair, he cut us too pieces and whilst im not a huge Bball fan the so called experts around me were saying it was Chris Warrens quietest game for the club. He got smoked by the Ponce (Deleon)

He doesn't have a lot of strings to his bow but is effective.

Happy to be proven wrong about Simpson, R&B

No worries, Gozu.

His shooting percentage from the floor is exceptional, his free throw percentage is exceptionally poor.

More downs than ups, but for some reason they've seemed to play well against Perth recently.

Simpson is a beast. Surely we can capitalise on what seems the number one big man in the competition at the moment.

As he said, at the moment. I tend to agree with Hondo - the numbers certainly stack up.

Cairns can never win a title with the current defensive mindset they take into games, as seen above with straining out 64 points against Sydney, who are not known for their defence. I know they played off against New Zealand last year, but the number of player losses have hurt their lineup.

No question about the free throws - they are awful :)

Round 5 v New Zealand: 20 points, 1 block, 8 rebounds, 1 steal, 3 turnovers
Round 6 v Sydney: 10 points, 1 block, 10 rebounds. 4 turnovers
Round 7 v Adelaide: 18 points, 2 blocks, 1 steal, 2 assists, 12 rebounds, 4 turnovers
Round 8 v Gold Coast: 14 points, 3 blocks, 1 assist, 13 rebounds, 2 turnovers
Round 9 v Perth: 22 points, 1 block, 2 steals, 4 assists, 10 rebounds, 1 turnover

The turnovers are certainly an issue, but averaging 10.6 rebounds a game and and 16.8 points. Pretty reasonable numbers, only Julian Khazzouh would be close to this average.

This is becoming one of the big mysteries of the NBL season at present, just what on earth is wrong there. If he is injured, he shouldn't be playing, but yesterday, he played nearly 21 minutes, for 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 turnover, 1 block and 2 points. He has been in this funk all season, and unlike the AFL/SANFL, there isn't the luxury of dropping him to find form. Don't know what is going on there, but he is totally out of sorts. Almost wonder if it is connected to the coaching - in terms of not being happy here at present.

Agreed on Grant, Johno - he has been one of the finds of the season so far. Certainly been great for my DreamTeam - had him from the start at $90K, now up to nearly $170K :)
