Agree and reminds me of time Orlando won lottery in '93 despite only just missing playoffs and drafted Chris Webber but for reasons known to the Magic only they traded his rights to the Golden State Warriors for Anfernee Hardaway and a few first round draft choices. Would have loved to have seen how it would have worked out with Webber and O'Neal paired together.
Unfortunately for Hardaway his first three years were the best and he never got anywhere near those heights again.

my lakers are getting the job done so far. pretty pleased.

having said that, Miami are thrashing teams. apart from their first up game, and i know they havn't been playing the graetest teams, but off the top of my head their last 3 winning margins are something like 21, 23 and 33. they're guna do some damage when they start to gel.

Millsap was huge for the Jazz today.

11 Points in the last 28 seconds. Miami let it slip today though, they were 21 up at one stage.

John Wall posted a triple double today as well  He is a star. 3rd youngest man in history to do so.

And they knock them off!

Interesting day in the NBA

Lakers lose their first game for the season as Melo drops 32 and grabs 12 boards. Please Please get this man to Chicago.

Deng (26 Pnts, 11 Rbs, 6 Assists) and Rose (22 Pnts, 3 RBs, 13 Assists) run riot as the Bulls thrash a tired GSW

Ray Allen again shows why he is one of the greatest shooters in NBA history with a stellar performance (35 Points with 7 from 9 behind the 3 point line) in Bostons terrific win against the ordinary Heat. Wade stunk it up bad again with 8 points (2 from 12) and 6 turnovers. Wade and Lebron combine for 0/10 from beyond the Arc!

One I like at the moment is Indiana's Roy Hibbert.
Given that he slipped to somthing like no.18 in 2008 draft he could prove to be a bargain given that it's hard to get guys 7'2 that can actually play.

What Im seeing in the NBA

- Kevin Love explodes for 31 points/31 rebounds for the first 30/30 game since Moses Malone in 1982
- Utah keep coming back with their 4th win overcoming a double digit deficit against Atlanta behind 24 points (9/19 FG) and 10 assists from Williams
- Brad Miller winds the clock back in a Rocket victory with 23 points (9/16FG) 8 reb and 5 ast
- Raptors beat Orlando for their first away win of the season on the back of Bargnani 27 points (11/23FG) and 26 points from DeRoen (8/13FG)
- Charlotte beat Washington as Wall and Arenas combine for 8/30FG (2/13 3pt, 0 FTs)
- Brendan Haywood managed to put some excitement in a game against Philly with 17 rebounds in 23 min, although when the 76ers shoot that bad it is a bit easier
- Steve Nash keeps putting up great numbers with 28 points (13/18FG), 14 ast, 7 reb in 103-89 win over the Kings
- Russell Westbrook again shows it isnt just a one man show in Oklahoma City with 36 points (12/22FG) 7reb, 7 ast, 3 st, 2 blocks to go with Durants 34 points in a win over Portland
- Griffin 18 points (8/15FG) 18 reb, 4 ast and Gordon 28 points (9/20FG) keep showing that not all is bad for the Clippers, but an OT loss to Detroit show that MOST IS bad for LA
