Huge turnaround since his first month or so here. Really liking the overall balance and depth now, that's even without Johnson doing much yet. In terms of pure talent, this is right up there with any squad the 36ers have ever had IMHO and it looks like they're starting to hum along too.

I couldn't agree more and Jamar Wilson is playing better too. Having a guy like DJ is back is icing on the cake. On the playoff race I don't want to get too carried away but if we make the playoffs and Cairns manage to finish top even though they would have the home-court advantage I think that would be a very winnable series for us for a spot in the GF.

First things first 36ers really need to get over the injury depleted Kings tonight!

Edit: As I say that Angus Brandt has just been cleared to resume again tonight.

A lot comes down to whether they're spending more energy than their rivals now. You often see teams put on runs like this and then when the big games are on they haven't much left in the tank. Sometimes also teams feel like they've accomplished something and the incentive to lift isn't the same. So long as the side lift their intensity for the playoffs then I think they'll be very competitive against anyone.

Flogging the shit out of the Kings. There would be some very nervous observers at the top end. As mentioned if we don't get it this year then keep this squad. It's quality.

Too tall, too fast and way too good. When Larkin hit the 3 in the last minute the roof nearly lifted off the place. Great night, bring on the finals.

If only they hadn't had that stupid 7 game losing streak, would be well entrenched near the top.

Coming good at the right time though, I don't think any of the other playoff teams are as strong as Perth were last season.

Looking at the fixture Adelaide have a harder run home than Melbourne. The game against Melbourne is going to be huge
