NBA Finals
Game Four

Boston 96
LA Lakers 89

Series tied 2-2

- The Celtic scored a game high 36 points in the final quarter, to outscore LA by 9 points
- Can Bynum contribute in Games 5 after having his knee drained? (remember what has happened to Kobe since his was drained) His game four contribution was 12 min, 2 points, 3 reb and watching him he was lucky to do that. CELTICS WIN IF HE CAN NOT CONTRIBUTE
- BIG baby BIG game: 22 min, 18 pts (7/10FG), 5 reb, 2 ste
- Ray Allen 4/11 FG (0/4 3pt FG) the ULTIMATE streak shooter
- Kobe hits 6/11 3pt FG, pity the rest of the Lakers hit 1/9 3pt FG
- There were no dominant rebounders (game high was 7) but all of the Celtic starters grabbed at least 5 boards

Technical fouls: N Robinson & R WALLACE

NBA Finals
Game Five

Boston 92
LA Lakers 86

Boston lead series 3-2

- Kobe scored 38 points on 13/27FG, while the rest of his team made just 18 FG as a collective at 35%, as only Pau Gasol craked double figures, meanwhile the Celtics shot 56% and had four players in double figures lead by Paul Pierce with 27 points (12/21 FG)
- Andrew Bynum was a non-event = Lakers loss. He played 32 min for 6 points (3/6FG), 1 reb and a +/- of -12

- Again the better TEAM defeated the better PLAYER

Boston outplayed LA today. If Boston win the series I reckon Kobe will win MVP in a losing side as he is carrying the team and making the finals at least a contest. How good would LA be with a few top notch players around him. Gasol is really thee only one with others extremely inconsistent

Finals MVP is always given to the best player from the team that wins. Otherwise they would've given it to Shaq in 2004, he was clearly the best player that Finals series but because the Pistons won it was given to Chauncey Billups.

Boston want it more.

Simple as that. Play hard on every play. Pretty jack of us getting out-hustled.

Kobe is a freak. Played a lone hand. Especially in the third.

Somehow managed to check his obviously growing frustration with team-mates.

But there is hope. To quote the late, great and overweight Biggie Smalls, we're...

I managed to catch the game yesterday.
Kobe is a freak, but getting seriously let down by the blokes around him.
Boston are doing the one percenters.
Like the block on Gasol.
Rondo is a gun, how old is that kid?
Fisher did pretty well do win the tap late in the game, but Boston just seem to want it more.

i think the dream is just about over for my boys. :(

as already mentioned, Kobe just hasn't had the consistant help needed for a champonship. Pau has stepped up in a couple of the games, and Fish in a quater basically, but it dosnt seem like it's going to be enough.

we really need Bynum's knee to settle for the last 2 games, and Artest to actually stop PP, as he's struggled to do all series.

winning two games at home against a side like the 'tics isn't impossible, but we're definetly behind the 8 ball.

let's go boys, don't put me through
this.

It will be an awesome win to the Celtics IF they manage to win game 6. Interesting footnote Phil Jackson told the Lakers that the Celtics are four quarter fadeout specialists. That kinda came back and bit him hard. Go Celtics I don't want to type in This
