Fantastic news now confirmed Daniel Johnson has come back to the 36ers for the rest of the season as an injury replacement for BJ Anthony after his stint in Poland :D

Hopefully his FIBA clearance goes through before Friday night's game in Wollongong because he needs to play at least 7 games (we have 7 games left) to be eligible for the playoffs.

Melb Utd just beat the Wildcats 86-78 in Perth tonight which effectively puts the 36ers 2 games behind Melb with 7 games to go.

Oh shit, I hate the Wildcats but we really needed them to help us out. Typical selfish West Australians :(

I wouldn't put money on it though the Wildcats have made the playoffs the last 28 consecutive seasons.

NBL games coming up on TV this weekend:

Friday night: Adelaide @ Wollongong at 9:30pm (One)

Sunday afternoon: Adelaide @ Sydney at 2pm (Ten)

Just finished watching the 36ers game and although we won 89-85 we didn't look like losing but did tighten up a bit there down the stretch. Motum was excellent, 4th straight double-double and DJ looked out of sorts.

Perth unfortunately got up over the Crocs in OT.

Taken the Sixers more than half the year to gel and now with Johnson in the line up its as good a line up going around imo. Hope we win enough to get in the finals but worst case scenario if we miss then we need to keep this squad. This squad doing a preseason is a better line up than we had last year when losing the GF.

Had been starting to look strong before they signed Johnson and now they look super powerful. Still feels like they haven't got a great sync with Wilson yet though. If that happens then you'd be slashing their championship odds. The front court stocks they have are frightening. Certainly not something we're used to in Adelaide.

Johnson will quickly improve. Just hope they don't go to bad habits from previous seasons and expect him to carry the load. After my bake Motum has motored along nicely so I expect the 36ers have sent a check to cover my assistant coaching fee. I reckon though Gibson is the key. I reckon a lot of the disconnect I'm sending between Wilson and the rest of the team can be sorted by Gibson's influence both as a leader and as a player. Having that second option bloke who has a sense of when to leave a ball handler to do his work and when to get involved can be massive.

That was a very dominant performance against the Kings today, we were up by more than 30 for a good portion of the second half.

The 36ers haven't looked that good in a long time.

Bad news for the Kings with Josh Childress out for the rest of the season with a torn pec muscle from the loss to the 36ers.

4 of their last 5 games are at home but they really are slipping at the wrong time of the season.

With that Melb loss to the Hawks last night means the 36ers officially are now 1 game ahead of Melb and in the Top 4.
