2024-25 NBL Season + Off-season news

Another thing about this is Cotton is still an import and Weston said they hope to get Cotton naturalised in his first season here. So then he would count as a local player freeing up another import spot.

With everything that Cotton has done on the court, there has been one part of playing in Australia that he hasn’t been able to achieve yet—becoming an Australian citizen.

“He wants to become an Australian,” Weston said.

“We will be working on doing this in the first season ... I want him to retire in Adelaide.”

The 36ers have never been afraid to make a big move, and while it hasn’t always worked out, they continue to show the basketball world that they won’t stop building something special for the city and state.

As for what’s next, well, Matt Weston’s message to fans is simple: “There’s more surprises to come.”

Sounds very promising.

Cotton tried completing his citizenship during Covid. He was told by the dept he needed to fly out of the country and then fly back in but he didn't want to do the two weeks quarantine at either end. So he got alternative advice drom a lawyer to fly to Melb and be arrested as an illegal immigrant and then he would be released soon after and all done. Unfortunately he chose that last option and instead it reset the 4 year timer and he had to start from the beginning again.

Trevor or Tom?
Both a bit old and not funny

Surely Trevor wouldn’t be just an assistant?

Nick Marvin, the Wildcats GM during their championship years is supposedly helping the team with signings.

They need another big before they need Patty, as good as it would be.

Wouldn't surprise to see Perth go hard for him to replace Bryce
