1st round of club champs Saturday, f@%k it was windy.

With conditions the way they were i actually felt like i played well.

Bogey start (par 3), Double the 3rd therefore 3 over after 3 and i'm nearly on suicide watch, birdie on 6, lipped out for Eagle on 9, made the birdie turned with 38 could've been sooooo much worse, so was happy enough with that, especially in the conditions. Then had 3 good par's in a row, step on the 13th tee block normally a PW for me (when pin is up the front), ridiculously strong wind, it wasn't a breeze it was a bloody gail! was thinking 8 Iron, it was that strong with the Pin right up the back i choked down on a 7 Iron, tried to roll it on, but NO i pulled it that far left heading OB it hit the fence and bounced back in! Took the bogey and walked off, Lucky very lucky.

Bogey 15, Double 16, bogey on 17 and 18 finished 79 off the bat. terrible finish but overall pretty happy.

1x73, 1x74, 2x76's, 1x78 and then 5x 79's still in the mix i guess.

Backed Saturday up with Tuesday comp this morning.

Windy again, which in a stupid way i was happy with, tried a few things, some worked some didn't, my putting was off big time, that's unusual for me as i'm normally a good putter, with that being said i didn't get my wedges close enough i guess, therefore they're 6-8ft putts instead of 3-4ft putts.

31 Points.

You can't win it in round 1
You can lose it though, and you haven't lost it

Hard day at work today ;)

The lad and i had an 'On course lesson' at Nth Adelaide this afternoon. We have a lesson every 5-6 weeks, but we've never had an on course lesson. In a way it was good as he gets to see all aspects of your game, but the only part i didn't like was he asked what i would like to work on the most, i replied driver.

We played 6 holes but only 3 warranted driver and i nailed all 3! #-o I actually wanted him to see what i've been doing wrong as late, but as i said they were all really nice drives. After the lesson we stayed on and played the final 3 holes.

Finished at Nth Adelaide and headed to Twilight, the lad and i being as competitive as we are, played handicap match play for $50, the first (par 3) i put a 7iron to 4 foot the lad puts a 6iron over the back i give a little lip then Bang! slam dunks his wedge and i 2 putt  he gets a shot on 4,5,7 and 8 long story short i'm 1 up with 1 to play, 9th Par 4 i drive just short of the green, he drives pin high but right (strong breeze behind us) i put my 56 to 4-5 foot he puts his second in the pot over the back, again i mouth off and yep he holes it! i 2 putt to finish square.

Moral of the story, no more yapping.

i had 38 for 18 points, he had 42 for 18 points.

I played both courses at Siam in 2009 (Old Course & Plantation). Challenging layout's both of them. Perhaps not as, ahum, challenging as the local nightlife.

Have fun Mr Beefy, you will love it.

They have 4 courses now, 3 at Pattaya, including a 27 hole course, and 1 in Bangkok.

Looks more like a construction site than a golf course atm but it will be excellent when finished
