Just double checked the radar, added with the slight cold I have and not being able to really have sick days due to staffing issues I've pulled out. They can keep my comp money as I will win it back next weekend

Last Sunday had booked in for a 11am start but the others in and around that time slot cancelled, so just went and had a hit.
Started off quite nicely with a par with a monster par putt.
Get to the 9th and thought may as well try something different.
I normally play driver off the tee, any tee really.
Pulled out a 5w that I picked up at an AuctionBlue sale a few years back for a coupla bucks, a no name brand.
I absolutely creamed it. Ended up around 50m short of where my best drive has gone.
Complete and utterly shocked.
The ground was a heavy 8, but in summer that ball would've rolled out a little further.
Used the 5w a few more times in the round and worked quite well.....I think I found a new fav club....
After my driver it's 5w and then 4hybrid.

Played 16 holes.
Skipped 11-12 to pass the group of 4 in front.

Booked in for this Sunday at 8-30 on Monday and there was only 4 vacancies in the morning slot......

Nice one MT. I admire your dedication. With the shocking weather we have had of late I go into hybernation... Or is that the spelling paddock? Come back fresh for the Spring Carnival! Will get out again late August and see how I go... If I have to put an umbrella up... I don't play. Call me soft.

Must admit I'm a bit of a fair weather golfer these days.........Australian Golfers don't understand how good we have it down here where we can play regular golf 12 months of the year. Imagine living in say Canada where Fees are exorbitant for Country Clubs with a million other services we mostly don't need and 5 months of golf a year.
