Less said about the course condition the better at present. Understand that it's summer, but it was bare as dirt in many parts. Liked the course layout, though.

The condition of that course hasn't been good for a long time, unfortunately..

is the course looked after privately or by the council?

Pretty sure Marion, North Haven and 2 other 9 hole courses are looked after by Belair Turf Management.

In some parts, it looks like the greenkeepers must walk from Belair to manage it, then.

A pity, because the layout is good and I will go back in cooler months to have a proper go at it.

BP - my playing partner got as crook as anything so the round not finished. Was on 34 after 6, but should have been a lot better. Didn't make use of a couple of massive drives properly.

CK, North Haven has been average condition for far too long. People living on the Peninsula would use the course more if it was in better condition. I like the layout, full 9 holes that can be done after work on a summers night with ease and the Sailmaster is a nice spot to stop for a bevvie afterwards. :D

Agree, I live just around the corner and play the course quite often due to it being very convenient for after work as it only takes about an hour and a half but starting to play a lot more golf elsewere as it is just not up to scratch

Have been playing a fair bit of golf of late, both before and after christmas and hope to continue doing so.

played riverside a fair few times wednesday night in the twilight comp. Playing off of 27 and scoring 21 and 18 points. Played off 24 on a windy night and only scored 11 points.

Played willunga on friday with our yearly competiton, played off 24 and scored 35 points in what were some pretty windy conditions.

Played the pat sunday just gone in what I would call the windiest conditions ive ever played in, had 99 off the stick. (this included a 10 on the 15th?(par 3) with 2 going on tapleys hill rd cause of the wind. Wouldnt have been that bad a round otherwise. just some silly shots costing me.

Last night I played North haven. Cant agree more about the condition of the course, is a real let down when you bomb a drive straight down the guts of the fair way to find you have a worse lie then if you were in the rough. Just played 9 with a mate and was 7 over off the stick. played some really good golf in what were again some windy conditions. Just hope I continue to improve!!

i have a question
played a round today and got stuck behind a group of 3 hackers who were allegedly in a comp?

Does golf etiquette mean they shouldve let me thru??

If they are in a comp they don't have to let you through.

West Lakes today brilliant conditions for Golf finished with 38 points. BIG improvement on last weekend

For those in the market for new gear, some great prices on Taylor Made R11 and Burner models as the R11 has an updated model due next month and the Burner is being replaced.

just ordered this arvo online the R11 fairway and hybrid from the Golf Clearance Outlet (Recently got rid of their Adelaide Franchise :( ) all up $390 delivered

Played 18 holes at Regency Park today...

First time I've played there since the change of layout and upgrades and I must say, it is pretty impressive and a great improvement on the course prior.

Got off to a shocker with 8 on the first hole but then pegged it back a bit with some good shots to end up 47 on the front 9.

After deciding to walk the course and test the knee, I was feeling it on the back 9 and therefore the score blew out more than it should have. Came in with 53 so finsihed off on 100.

That is my second round in a month (shot 100 last time roiund) and the knee is getting better so once I can get some fitness back, looking forward to getting the score down.

Will probably look to play Willunga (have a 2 for 1 voucher) in the next couple of weekends, if it is cool and not a 40 degree weekend.

Rockbottom has the R11 Driver for $260 plus about $30 for shipping via FedEx. Very tempted to get it at that price.

Rockbottom would be the best place online to get clubs right? I think eBay is potetially too dodgy.

I have bought a driver from there before plus plenty of other gear (gloves, balls, bag and even clothes) and all products are the genuine items.
