Also Mickey that looks like a very well thought out course. Love the green side trap at the front of the par3

I am heading out to get my new TM Burner Superfast 2.0 Driver this weekend. Can't wait

Glanville is a shortish 9 holes. Greens are generally pretty fast. Looked after by former Kooyonga super intendant

I had a shocker early with my son getting closer than me off the tee on 2 of the first 3 holesfinished birdie birdie to gain back some pride at the end.
Will be back

MatteeG wrote:Played the Pat on Sunday morning in perfect conditions. As mentioned earlier i played with one of these balls:
Course- Course was in great nick, Greens were a tad long. Gees you get rewarded for finding the fairways, the ball sits up like a tee most of the time. As with most public courses a lot of unrepaired divot marks on the greens- a pet peeve most of us live with now. Got around in about 4 1/2 hours which isnt bad for the Pat.
Round- Played a Par Round, started shockingly (Again!) and was -3 after 4 holes. Driving was a bit erratic and iron play very hit and miss. Finished the front 9 well with a run of Pars and managed to get to +1 at the turn. After giving back a hole on the 10th with some poor irons I had another good run of pars until the 14th where I gave one back after a wayward drive. Finished the last 4 holes 1 under with a birdie on 17 to come home with an 80 off the stick for a 4+. While the score suggested a pretty good round I was a little disappointed, the pat is relatively easy most days, and it was ripe for the picking on Sunday for sure. I reckon I played out of 8 bunkers during the round (did manage some cracking shots out of them mind you) but short game definitely saved my bacon.
Ball- After the obligatory 'poofter' taunts on the first the Pinky went OK. Feels quite 'dull' off the club face and I reckon its probably 10-20 metres shorter off the tee than some balls. However I chipped and putted brilliantly with it which definitely helped. The other thing I noticed was how straight this ball flies. I usually play with a slight draw however I dont remember more than one or 2 doing this the whole round. Think I hooked 1 drive and sliced one other, the rest were almost tracers straight where I aimed. Managed to scuff the ball a bit when it plowed into the trees on the 3rd, but no further making despite an almighty blade on the 15th. Would I buy a box? Probably not, but if I am wayward one day I'll definitely pull it out* to correct it!
Cheers again SD- I'll give the UV X3 a hit next game and let you know how that fares!![]()
Cheers
