Twilight Thursday was horrible.
Back 9 and 11pts

Hit range yesterday working on Driver mainly. Seemed to find the draw shape.
Then today absolutely drove brilliantly. The baby draw has returned.
Irons were OK.
Putting was very good.
38pts

Had another hit on Sunday, consistent scoring 19pts (8 x 2pts & 1 x 3pt) but game still not great, but there are some signs! Hopefully some good form isn't too far away.

Hi all,

On Friday November 29th, I'm taking on The Longest Day challenge because, in one way or another, the beast that is cancer has touched all of us. I personally lost my sister at the age of 28 and am now watching my mother and stepmother (Yes, both of them!) go through their own challenges with cancer. If by simply playing 72 holes of golf, I can raise some money to assist South Australian families in their hardest times, I'm all for it and all in as I’ve seen first hand how hard it can be.

I certainly know it will be a challenging day. I’ve worked out I’ll be walking well over 30 kilometres over the day. And yes, I’ll be walking it all. The reason for that is I want to feel the fatigue and mental challenge that I’ve seen my family go through in their cancer treatments. That’s the driving force for me because I have seen it first-hand too many times. I hope that this story will inspire other golfers to get out there. What I’m doing is really so simple but it’s making a huge difference to those who need it most..

I understand that in the current economic environment were in money can be very tight, but I urge you all to give any amount you can to the link listed below, every dollar counts, and this has been a cause very close to my heart.

In closing I sincerely thank you for your time and donations to such a great cause.

Thanks and Regards

Shaun Holland

Had a muck around hit for the last hour before dusk last night at Thaxted, course is looking good, still think it could be even better if they got rid of the kikuyu. Played the last few holes with my lad, still think I have him covered :). Playing there for 18 next weekend.

I tried hitting my 52 with the ball further back in my stance and it worked a treat, was actually hitting them sweetly from 60-80m out which has been a problem range for me which usually sees me bringing out he putter! Will see if I can replicate in the heat of battle at HQ tonight.

Runs about 11.5/12 on the stimp apparently.
Will try and get on there tomorrow morning.
Things are starting to take shape down there

Flaggy thus morning

Hybrid made an appearance and my word was it delightful. It did what I like it to do and have a nice baby draw.
It's staying in the bag.
Driver was good except on 1st (my 10th) tail breeze, teed it up and pushed it OB, didn't hear a window smash so all good

Mt Osmond on a sunny but windy arvo.
Highlight was the planes for the clipsal.

Main putting green been re-laid so out of action.
Chipping area at back of pro shop is 1/3 of what it was
Still doing work on the course in places.
Goat track may be fraction harsh.... but can see it ;)
Golf was solid without being good. Scrambled really well.
Greens were horribly slow...

37pts

Was hoping for a hit yesterday, but by the time we had finished a bunch of other crap, the rain had arrived. Settled for a bucket of balls at the range.

Have had my clubs all re-gripped - gone with the mid size. Didn't really notice much difference other than a few clubs (8 iron was one) where the old grip was pretty much stuffed, very slippery.

Got old farts cricket this coming weekend, so that stuffs next weekend. The weekend after will be a chance for a hit on the Sunday.

Hope to get a few rounds in between now & Christmas, when I will take on the lad over 2 rounds.

He shot 80 yesterday. I am in trouble.
