Lady Bay on Friday & Saturday for the annual Golden Shaft. I’m first up after an extended spell so should be interesting.

I'm literally in the club house right now. Played today 33 points, played much better than that, but the greens were re-sanded yesterday to finish off the coring, whilst they are in very good condition jesus they were slow today. a bit fluffy, a bit damp and sandy = Bloody slow.

Course in ripping condition.

back to Flaggy this morning.

the golf was a rollercoaster, but it was mainly that downward spiral.
the greens got me again for the most part today. some were slow, some were quick and of course i hit the wrong speed shots on those greens.
ended with a paltry 23 points.
the 7th claimed its first ball.
lost a ball on the 8th and have no idea how!
quite a slow round given the bookings in the morning are barely half full

I think you meant daylight savings calls for twilight golf.... weather has nothing to do with it!

Played there AFL GF weekend.. .greens were cored 3 weeks before that, so they should be fine now...

Course a little wet in patches (similar to most non-sandbelt courses)...

It should be in really good condition now, with a few days of sun...

Mate that’s awesome well done mate!

MT beat me to it, we need details and I mean every minor detail.

I’ve come close heaps of times, but never got one :(

11th, 7 iron, straight shot faded slightly on the wind, 1 hop straight in. Made better with a couple of crows players seeing it from the 12th tee box and shouting me afterwards. That story will be the whole side cheering it in when I tell the grandkids.

PAR - kicked off on the 10th

off the tee was fine with the driver. but my 5w which i had hit nicely on tuesday just fell to pieces, all off the heel/hosel....
anyway we get through that 9 and finished all square. should have been a couple up.

back 9 - started off ok and then from the 11th onwards the wheels feel apart. not in dramatic fashion, as in stableford would have scrounged up a point but that dont count in PAR. i dont mind par but amazing how many people really dont like it.
ended up with -6 for the day which is where im at about now

Wirrina Ambrose yesterday, cracking day, esky in the back of the cart - fireball shot after every birdie.

No handicaps, just lowest score wins, we got 5 under - 5 birdies, 1 eagle and 2 bogeys  winner hit 12 under  so we lost the trophy.

All proceeds to Mens Mental Health, cant wait to do it again in March

Now off to Vines for 9 holes tomorrow arvo and then Port Hughes next weekend with the lads :D
