Playing at the Belfry golf club today, occasional home to the Ryder Cup. It's going to be about 7 degrees, but blue sky and no wind to speak of. Beautiful

Bisque par yesterday, I'm not a fan of the concept but each to there own I guess.

Very rusty front 9 for -3 much better back 9 +3 to obviously finish Square.

Winner finished +10! WTF  I call foul!

Nothing wrong with Par.
Don't blame the comp for your poor play!!!

Certainly not blaming the comp for poor play, Although I wouldn't of thought finishing Square would constitute poor play but any way the point I was making was the Bisque Par I don't like. It's not just a par event where you just play the index in this you nominate where you use your strokes.

Anyway like I said I didn't like it but each to there own.

We were meant to have Bisque Par but it got changed to stableford.
I think a changeup in formats is good though.
I think there should be more variety and more team tourneys.

I guess it's probably cause I didn't know or understand the concept prior to my round. Totally agree about variety in the comps, to many stroke rounds I reckon. The beauty of par, stableford and the like is one bad hole doesn't destroy your whole day like it can in stroke if you have a total stinker, scrub the hole and move on.

In a couple of weeks when life resumes to normal for my playing partners, we will be off using the club advantage card.
West Lakes is high on the agenda along with Flaggy and blackwood due to their closeness to home.
But will also try for a whack at TTG and My Osmond.

When are you planning on coming down and gracing the regal fairways of royal west lakes?
