Spieth takes home $880,000 with Lee Westwood for T2.

Feel better?

( Willett takes home $1.8m )

That's easy BMac. Just hit 300 balls everyday for the next 4 years.... when you get to scratch, keep going. Unless you are +3 or better you are wasting your time. Then work your way through the minor tours. Sleep in you car, as you can't afford hotel rooms. Eventually graduate to one of the PGA tours..... then stand up in front of thousands of people (and millions on TV) and make a complete pelican of yourself!

Sound like fun..... no thanks, I'll take my desk job. If I screw up (and I do) at least its pretty much only me that knows I just chunked it in the water... or my equivalent of that.

If I were a pro golfer.... my kids would have starved!

Hehe yeah i was obviously being a little facetious.

I once read an interesting article that talked about Tennis players on the challenger circuit, and it was basically along the same lines you mention. I wonder if i can find it.

A mates Dad plays at Grange, been a member for years, he's getting on now but was playing off 12 some years back. Probably 10 years ago.

He said to the local pro "I'd like to be single figures".

"Go hit 1000 balls with every club, then come back and see me", was the answer.

Yep - correct. That's why I choose to be a lazy **** (play off 18) hit a dozen warm ups on Saturday Morning then step on the 1st tee and expect to set a new course record, every week.

Yep same here. Play off 16/17 with next no warm up drills before a round and no practice what so ever. Have a chronic push to the right that shits me to tears and a poor short game......hence why I only play for gold coins :)

Snuck out this morning for the midweek comp with the retired folk at my home course (Echunga). Greens recovering from recent coring other than that course (fairways etc) in decent condition. 11 pts on the front nine...f4#*lq**. Got a bit better on the back had 22 pts on track for something better until a double bogey on 18. Needless to say, the old boys got my money!

Just had a look at the results.... 33 pts got me a ball. Reckon this Thursday golf is the ducks nuts!

Had a hit at the range at The Vines on Tuesday.
Quite happy with how I hit the 7 irons and lower.

Jesus, felt really lost holding the 4,5,6 hybrids.....

Had a hit with the driver in the nets and felt good.

Still need some fine tuning on the wedges around the greens. Need to cut out thinning them etc. But for the first whack in a while it was good.

Hope to sneak out tomorrow arvo.

I used to get around the 18 in just over 3hrs

Score tomorrow could be good if I was playing cricket.....

They have the deals of Scoopon again.

$39 for two people to play 18 with a beer each.

$69 for four people to play 18 with a beer each.

I took up 3 vouchers earlier to take customers again.

Unfortunately, slack worker didn't show up for a shift, which I had a gut feeling would happen and so I missed out.
Hitting the range tomorrow morning for an hour or so and hopefully will get out next week...

Have a new members night coming up on Thursday after Anzac Day, so will hope to get along to that for some nibbles and bevvies
