My club has reciprocal rights with it.
Im not sure if anyone can get on, best way to find out would be to call the pro shop.

B25, pretty much anyone can get on most courses now, only the elite clubs are difficult, but if you cough up the money, then they will give you times you can play. At TTG you could probably get on a Sunday afternoon most weeks and most days during the week, Tuesday am, Wednesday am and Thursday all day are the busy times. Just ring up the pro shop, tell them you are a member of whatever golf club, ie Golden Grove Tavern golf club and they will let you know when you can play. A few small fibs to get a game of golf never hurt anyone and the club will be $45 per head better off.

Reminds me of a story about a couple of golfing mates who lived in Melbourne in the early 80's. Each Sunday morning, very early, they would head off the a sand belt golf course, ie Huntingdale, Yarra Yarra and the like. Walk onto the course at first light, play 18 then walk off and never got queried. They got to play all the sandbelt except RM, went on for about 6 months, they were never game to try the big one though. They could play golf and looked the part. Not sure you could get away with it these days.

Playing The Pat this sunday as a stableford comp, and then August 2 I am playing Grange East in a ambrose comp.

Have played The Pat recently and really enjoyed it, but to say I am looking forward to Grange is a severe understatement ;)

These days it would be harder,
A friend of mine used to regularly play 9 holes after school or work when we were 17-18yrs old. He wasnt a member and never payed.
Like you said BF if you can actually play golf the chances of being caught would be less.

When at uni, we used to walk on to Grange very regularly. Always a week day, usually in the early afternoon.

Not a member, never paid, not a great golfer, lovely courses.

Tee up, all hit off pretty quickly, try not to hit any cars in the car park, and we were away.

Fisty, perhaps that could be a competition for posters in this forum. Which of the private golf courses have you got on, played a minimum of 9 holes, without paying. Would have to be daylight saving though, it would be easier in the summer, most pro shops close at about 5.30, so leave 3 hours at the height of summer to have a game. I know quite a few people that play TTG in summer without coughing up the dough. Lets face it, if someone catches you, there is not much they can do except kick you off the course.

RB, the east course there is so much easier because you never go anywhere near the pro shop, apart from 9-10 the clubhouse either. Did you ever try the west?

Yeah I have played both courses. We always had an out when we were asked, knowing a couple staff. Sometimes scored really well (relative to my ability), but other times, got eaten up. A couple times, we drove to the golf course before getting in the gators and cutting through the course to go to Footy Park.

My old man told me about it during the week and I forgot to set the PVR for it. Coffs Harbour was featured on it today. Will have to look for the repeat of it
