some funny stuff yesterday at The Vines

they had a best ball comp from what i could see and one group a player was all cramped up over the ball and his shots were cracking cover drives if he held a cricket bat!

So, my day at Royal Adelaide.
After 2 coopers clear schooners & a baguette whilst registering, my day went downhill from there. A rolling start off the 14th (Index 1) at 12.30, a slight pull off the tee left me 1 inch off the driveway into the carpark and a good recovery left me 20 yards from the green. I did not score a point  . I also did not score on the 15th or 16th, which had my partner wondering just how the f$#k I got a gig.
Then on the longest par 4 in the world, and a hole with 2 fairways to play, I somehow managed a 5 for 3.
18th a point.
1st, ok tee off, snap hook 2nd onto trainline. Decided to scrub that hole.
2nd 2 points
3rd Forget it. Scrub
4th Boom! Straight down the guts about 250 yards HALLA effing LULLAH. 2 pointer.
5th. A point.
6th. A point (I think)
7th. 2
8th. Feeling confident. Hook wildly off the tee. Scrub
9th. 126 yards away after 2 shots (496 par 5). Duff chip, duff it again. And again. Throw club.

I think you are all starting to get the picture.
22 points. Good fun, cost me $10 for the whole day including free gas & grub.
Cant wait til I get my 20 cards in so my handicap can climb a bit though.

Make sure you visit the locker room at Nirwana, was the best I have seen. The guy at the door will ask if you want a towel, took me ages to figure out what he was on about. Might have had something to do with the contents of the mini bar style esky on every cart. 2nd shot to the 12th was great fun and the par 3 7th overlooking Tanah Lot was just out of this world. Absolutely stunning course, I'm sure you won't be disappointed. Check out the Raffles Golf website, great bunch of fellas and will save you enough cash for a weeks worth of Bintangs.

I've got a team of hacks including myself around Callum Michael. If he's on, it will be no contest. If he's not, we're rooted.
