Classic! I've put in 99, 103 and 107.

Played an ambrose at Waikerie yesterday in he windiest conditions I've played golf in.

As it was so windy the day before, I went back out this morning and played the back 9 again.

Course is in great nick, only complaint would be the amount of caltrop in the rough! Everywhere!!!

how many cards for your handicap?? 3 or 5

if 5 you better continue on that 107 range!

I think it's 3, with the best score being used as your starting handicap. Speaking of handicaps, I'm down to 13 after 36 points on Saturday. Hoping to hit 12 before the end of April.

Pretty sure its 3 rounds and they only allow maximum double bogey on anyone hole.
I'm number 1, so why try harder!!

Nah the skirts are still on 45. Although are handicapps still recognised as club handicapps past 27 for men? I know you must be 27 or lower for men to enter some state level events.

My Club goes through to 36.

after 27 it is at the discretion of the club. Some Eastern States exclusive clubs use this to cull their memberships and keep a certain elitist standard

yes during your first 8 cards being put in your handicap will be up and down like a yoyo depending on your scores. throw a low score in and your handicap can reduce by 3-4 shots at times. it will become pretty steady/settled after 20 rounds as they take your top 8 cards out of the most recent 20. you will find yourself hooked on the golflink website every sunday morning to see what has happened to your handicap from the previous day!

And ain't that the truth! I have the Golflink app on my iPad and am all over it the night after a comp game.

had a round at North Haven yesterday for something different.

the breeze off the water seems to be more profound then other courses along the coast

not too sure about the $19 per round though, but it was a good walk, pity some of the golf was back to the worst it had been

found an old scorecard from a round i had at the vines and it was 91 and i remember that out of my 5 rounds i think the scores varied from an 87 to a 99 or thereabouts.

hoping to play the vines next friday arvo and possibly sat arvo so i can get my handicap asap and get into the comps

Played 9 holes at Port Hughes on Saturday morning. I havn't had a hit since January so I wasn't expecting anything special, but ended up with a 44 off the stick. Parred the first and last hole and both Par 3's so it was a bit of an inconsistent day. The greens were lightnning quick. Pretty sure I 2 putted on every hole I didn't par!
But was a nice day and would play there again if I've got a couple of hours to spare.
