Yeah, boomed a 280m drive up between two water hazards, 50m from the pin, chipped on, nailed a straight 3m putt. Very lucky to miss the hazards.

280m off the tee is first class. Let me guess, stiff shaft 9 degree loft.

Its big but not first class
I would say 300 is first class.
I would regularly drive 250 with one or maybe 2 drives going 280-290 a round.

Settle down Bubba

Stop cutting the corner..... speaking of the 18th long hitters are going to have to lay up off the tee when the new water hazards are operational. The tree I used to aim for is gone

I put mine over fence yesterday and had to take the free drop. Definately gonna make it harder. Will probs try and actually cut the corner now.

Played the worst game since I have had a handicap yesterday, 20 points for 18 holes.
Only thing that made it acceptable was had a lesson saturday and was trying everything he changed.

Hitting off at 8.30 this morning at Port Augusta. It pissed down up there yesterday so the course should be lush. Not much run expected from the drives, and the greens might be slow and spongey (is that a word?) so I'm not expecting to worry the Golflink handicap system.

you will be fine, no need to worry about slow greens when you hole out from the 2nd shot or get the ball with a metre of the pin

i like heavy greens, great for attacking the pin

Try Darwin. You get 15-20 sitting on the back of one green at the gardens.
