yes played there a few weeks back. Nice Course. lots of bunkers, green are very hard but true. Nice lay out. some very tough long par 4's. and a few very long par 3's. (had to get the driver out on one) i like it better then the west course??
We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Ive been invited by a member to play there in a couple of weeks so I will be looking forward to that! I enjoy putting on rock hard greens too. What were the visitors green fees schimma? I'm guessing $50

Website says $60 with a member, double that for just ringing up the pro shop.

seems a fairly standard fee for the tier 1 clubs as Kooyonga is similar

I have heard stories of Grange suffering due to the course renovations as the grounds team are distracted by bigger things going on around the course and the little things are neglected.

Played Regency last Sunday and was hitting them reasonably well...

First round with my new putter so left a few short while still getting a feel for it...

Ended up shooting 92 (46 & 46) so pretty happy overall...

Looking at playing either Mt Lofty or Willunga this weekend...

What course is in better shape at the moment?

Hitting off at 9am at Port Augusta tomorrow. Had a horror round there last Thursday due in part to the greens all being sanded as we were playing. If I still carried a 2 iron in my bag I would have used it to putt!
Anyway, hopefully the grass would have grown a bit in seven days.
Will be taking the portable radio to hang in the cart so we catch the test on 891 ABC

The course is in pretty good condition, lovely fairways and the rough is fairly forgiving. They sanded the greens last Thursday and they were schienzen housen that day but today 15 of them were probably ok and three were average but they are improving daily. You will be to get on the course on Sunday. Green fees are $25 and $25 if you want a cart.
I love the course, par 70. Two par 5, four par 3 ten par 4. Some very interesting dog legs to fly for blokes with big balls.
The bunkers are firm so you have to think about that a bit. Good luck Iron, I hope you like it.

I reckon I would be half a chance to pick up the Men's C grade today at Port Augusta. 12 putts on the back nine helped a bit in my nett 64. I wont find out until tonight when The golf link system will tear my handicap to bits I think.
The transistor portable radio I took was a failure in the electric cart with too much interference.

was having a hit on north course at the pat

was fairly slow back 9 and finished the round with 2 other guys. One has a belair membership and they both play comp up there. Both tried to tell me the course is in good condition.

Now when i finished playing comp up there the course was seriously deteriorating and reading other posters on here comment that it is for once a year hackers, i just had a giggle to myself!

one of these guys, on a par 3 142m hit a ball, not a great deal of air but it went straight and on the green. But he wasnt happy, he wanted it to go high, likes the visual.
yes we all like to see our shots go high and straight, but for me im happy if the ball goes straight and as i pointed out to this guy who plays off a handicap of 20, that when reflecting on your scorecard it wont tell you which balls looked good, and which didnt!!!!

I hit three greens on Thursday with my 3wood and of course those shots went low and long and I was just overjoyed with the end result, couldn't give a stuff about the aesthetics of the shot, just the result!

I have beaten 220 blokes for nearest the pin when I fired a low bullet into the face of a bunker and it popped up and finished within 1.5m of the pin.
