Hopefully this wind buggers off and we dont see any rain.
Will be my first hit in 3 weeks

Hope you recruited some single figure handicappers to pull you out of the shite ;)

3 blokes off 19 and one off 32, I figure we have 11 shot handicap, we can score 3 under off the stick we wil have a chance.

Some bloody tough pin locations this morning might make low scoring difficult

Tomorrow is the annual swim through at Wirrabara, a very interesting 18 hole golf course in the Southern Flinders Ranges. Wirrabara Publicans golf day is a ripper. It's more about drinking than actual golf but plenty of players take it seriously so some good scores will get turned in. Rest stops aka drinking stations are generally strategically placed around the place. Sponsored by West End and the local pub. The lunch after you have endured the front nine is legendary. The back nine is rewarded with more p1ss and food while the presentations unfold. Putting on black scrapes tests your sense of humour. Can't wait. Teeing off at 8.30am

wirrina

not a bad course

PAR 70

nice scenery, quiet, peaceful

shot an 81 and an 85 so that suggests the course is fairly easy!

finished 3 under off the stick with a adjusted score of 56, handicap was 11.
finished 6th overall and had 3 bogies over the 18 holes.
had we have only had 1 bogie we would have won the comp. Oh well
Having a few weeks away from west lakes with footy trip this weekend then a piss up golf weekend over GF weekend at McCracken. Shall be 2 very messy weekends.

Heading to Lady Bay next weekend for annual mates golf weekend.
Playing Friday & Sunday, with family (Hangover) day in the middle.
Hope the weather is kind.
Looking forward to dinner at the golf club, where last years dinner & drinks bill was nearly a grand for 5 blokes and we were loved by the owner, who plied us with alcohol & good food. Locals did not like us very much, as we were quite loud by 10pm, then headed back to the Normanville caravan park camp kitchen and had a great time with the local holiday makers.
We have our own "Green Jacket" for the winner over the 2 days, so cant wait.

We are doing almost exactly the same at the end of Oct, expect replacing a round of golf with a fishing charter off Wirrina. We stay at the caravan park also with the families.

Let us know how the course is.

Played Belair on the weekend and it's a disgrace. Greens were terrible, tee blocks were placed in weird spots, fairways were reasonable but for a course located in the Hills, was expecting far better. Won't be back.
