Played on sunday aswell, apart from being a little foggy for first hole, turned out to be a really good day for it.
Ended up with 32 points for the round, was pretty happy as it is a big improvement from the previous months golf. Still missed two putts which would have given me 34 points and still scratched 2 holes.
Wont be able to play this weekend case of footy finals and maybe the next few weeks so will be interesting to see how my next round go's.

We're in hell right now gentlemen. Believe me. And we can stay here, get the shit kicked out of us, or we can fight our way back into the light. We can climb outta hell... one inch at a time.

Then playing over at The Dunes @ Port Hughes the following Monday with my brother and a couple of mates...

Had a few isses with my knee of late and haven't played a round for a couple of months so will be interesting to see how I'm hitting them...

here are a few pictures I took at Long Reef on Thursday. It is a pure magic links-style course on Sydney's northern beaches.

Played Tanunda Pines on Sunday, couldn't believe the practice putting green and how good the surface was, surely not replicated on the course - how wrong. Excellent course, well worth a drive. This time of the year the couch would be at its thinnest, so planning a return visit later in the year when they will be growing. Golf was ordinary to start with, found my range and then some poor advice from the son on 17th resulted in a lost ball and a so so 29 points. Lunch at Saltrams after topped off a excellent day.

Was pleasantly surprised with how well I was hitting them off the tee with the driver and my fairway irons were back to my best...

Sunk a couple of nice putts but AGAIN it was my short game that let me down. Have to get some lessons as it is frustrating the hell out of me...

Ended up shooting 105 off the stick, - played the back 9 first (53) because of Ladies Day, then had 52 on the front 9...

Looking forward ot playing The Dunes at Pt Hughes on Monday, hopefully the weather is good and the wind is down...

Forgot to post about my round at The Dunes on Monday...

Was a pretty good day overall with the wind only picking up on the back 9 and not as blowy as it can get down there...

The course was in great shape but oh my god, the greens were the quicketst I have EVER played on !!!

One of the locals that was playing behind us said they were the slickest he has since them since the course opened !!!

Had a pretty good day overall but STILL struggling with my short game, around the fringe of the greens...

Driving was fine (except on the 2nd having to hit over the dam - put 2 consecutive drives into the drink trying to reach the green from the shorter tee with a breeze behind me...

Mid range irons were good again and despite the tricky greens, I putted reasonably well, including sinking a couple of nice 10 footers for pars...

In the end shot 103 off the stick - 53 on the front (with the 2 balls in the drink) then 50 on the back 9 playing the different pin locations...

Considering it was just my 2nd round in 6 months (played Tanunda on the Tuesday before and had 105 off the stick) was pretty happy overall...

As they say, a bad round of golf is better than any day at work so overall just happy to have a hit with some mates and my brother...

Good luck on that one. Sometimes a few weeks without a stick in your hand works wonders and you will go really well.
