Played Port Augusta today. Was three under my handicap on the first nine and got really excited. Blew out on the homestretch and carded a 12 (yeah, 12 strokes) on the 18th after spraying my tee shot, losing a ball, hitting a tree with my recovery, going under a freaking bush and chipping out for six and I am still 234 metres to the pin. Played an awesome three wood then Managed to find the bunker in front with a dodgy wedge. Got out for one and three putted. I am now known as the Adam Scott of PA.

my golf has gone to absolute shit!
Am out to a handicap of 18, only had 7 points on the front 9 yesterday luckily turned it around on the back with 16 points to make it a very poor looking card but slightly respectable.
Hopefully I dont keep playing like this!

You'll lift. Try and limit damage when you go astray. Take the chip out and dont try miracle recoveries (although if playing stableford its worth the risk LOL). Not much difference from being on 18 or 12, just cutting the real sh!t out.

What has been the main grief? Driving? Putting?

Ive removed the miracle recoveries and just play the %'s now.
It is basicly my chipping, on weekend hit majority of fairways off the tee or if I didnt still had a shot, it was when I would fall short with an approach that I was stuffed. My putting was actually pretty good, only one 3 putt for the whole round from memory.
Will be trying to have a lesson in next week or 2. see if he can help me out.

I know what you mean heater, give me daylight savings so I can play 9 holes every night after work!

I'm hoping to get out in the twilight comp this year at the club.

Started some practice in the lounge room last night. Using the Ping putter app I have discovered that my stroke is horrendous

Going to hit another 50 odd balls again tonight!

Either on ipod touch or iPhone is a free download and the only outlay is for the special cradle that attaches to your putter. Then you follow the instructions on the app where it measures swing arc, impact angle and tempo. From there it is a case of experimentation to develop consistency and every now and then record your progress

The manager of Drummond Mile End recommends them highly

Putter only! The cradle clips on to the shaft of the putter and you slide your ipod/iphone into the cradle

Get out on the weekend Fisty? Tough conditions for the club foursomes championships yesterday, wind followed by rain then brilliant sunshine. This happened 4 times!

On Saturday in a par round -3 heading out but flew home with +5 to finished off the grade winner and $75 voucher thank you...

Also the first 7 holes on Saturday played in heavy fog which is a weird experience...

Took a risk and played at Echunga yesterday. Back nine very boggy. Give it a miss for a while. Still a good way to spend a day off though.

cant complain about +5, $75 would be handy aswell, seems my $5 every week is just a donation lol.
I got out on sunday after a fair few cans sat night. hadnt planned to play but someone in my bro's group was away.
We tee'd off at 7:54 off the 10th, copped rain on 2 occassions once on front and once on back, wind made for a very hard round. Finished with 23pts, probs should have been 30 if conditions were better. The whole group found it hard with my bro having 24, and the other 2 blokes having 27pts each.
After all these horrible rounds hopefull I have a decent score coming up this weekend.

Played South Lakes in the gale on Sunday. Tough conditions, made tougher by my total lack of quality ANYTHING! Didnt help playing a Stroke round! Brought up the ton on the last putting for par... Lost a couple of balls, putted poorly and hit about 2 good irons.

Putting a line through that round and moving on to Willunga in a couple of weeks.

Does anyone have any facts to support this claim? I was told by a pro shop operator that less than 12% of club golfers world wide can break 100 off the stick. The percentage of club golfers who are on a single figure handicap is like four or five percent?
If all this is true I feel great as a long handicap scrubber who can break the ton on any given day. Eminently achievable when I put my head down.
