Those Alfa Romeo commercials can **** off too.
Politicians kissing babies for good luck,
TV preachers sell salvation for a buck.

Why you should NEVER buy a Jeep ...

eh, i bought a jeep (not a grand cherokee, we got a wrangler unlimited) and that doesnt bother me one bit. for one, we dont have moose (what is the plural?? Meese??) in australia ;) and secondly, i doubt id swerve if there were. swerving to try to go around an animal puts you straight in the path of other cars. id much rather hit a roo (or even a moose) than another car coming the other way at 100+kph... or you know, use the brakes too, that would be an option....

id also expect the wrangler to perform worse in that test than the grand cherokee. its got more primitive suspension (solid axles front and rear), and more flex in the tyres. id expect it to end up on its side less than half way through that maneuver. good thing it comes with built in roll cage hey ;) but we didnt buy it cos it was going to be the best on road. we bought it cos its the only 4 door, convertible, 4 wheel drive on the market. and its one of the most capable and affordable 4 wheel drives at that. and so far, no issues with it, so we are happy :)

Keep the Jeep ads coming. Makes my life a shitload easier when selling my products.

8 years ago 8000 Jeeps a year were sold in Australia. Now its pushing 60000.

Not sure where you get 60,000 from ... only 2,145 Jeeps sold in Jan 2014.

I've been annoyed by the motor vehicle industry.
It appears cars are becoming increasingly unreliable as the technology included increases, but denial is rife.

This data from the UK and from the US urges caution with iconic names in the industry:

those dropkick parents who's kid got abducted... Kid was taken due to a drug debt...

Not surprised considering both parents looked of there chops on tv, especially the dad...

the best thing the day could say on tv was "she's tough, like a boy"...

Having to put 70c worth of stamps on the post at work. And since we have a massive stash of 60c stamps, I have to add 10c stamps to every one of them. Not too bad, except the 10c-ies arent adhesive, so we had to fashion a moistener out of a small container, a sponge-scourer and water.

I now know what it was like in 1986...
