eh, i bought a jeep (not a grand cherokee, we got a wrangler unlimited) and that doesnt bother me one bit. for one, we dont have moose (what is the plural?? Meese??) in australia and secondly, i doubt id swerve if there were. swerving to try to go around an animal puts you straight in the path of other cars. id much rather hit a roo (or even a moose) than another car coming the other way at 100+kph... or you know, use the brakes too, that would be an option....
id also expect the wrangler to perform worse in that test than the grand cherokee. its got more primitive suspension (solid axles front and rear), and more flex in the tyres. id expect it to end up on its side less than half way through that maneuver. good thing it comes with built in roll cage hey but we didnt buy it cos it was going to be the best on road. we bought it cos its the only 4 door, convertible, 4 wheel drive on the market. and its one of the most capable and affordable 4 wheel drives at that. and so far, no issues with it, so we are happy

I now know what it was like in 1986...
