I think Boon started up one of these threads ages ago but couldn't find it, so I'm starting another..

Last night we had our end of year awards night, it was a good night, topped off by our team winning the "team of the quarter award". I also managed to snag a nice bottle o Johnnie.

At the end of the night there was another draw for prizes and very much to my surprise won a coffee machine. However, I forgot I had the bottle of Johnnie in my jacket pocket and when I jumped for joy at winning another prize, the bottle of johnnie leaped out of my pocket (almost in slow motion) and straight onto floor - CRASH - one broken bottle and Johnnie Walker Scotch all over the floor... I nearly cried!


Please add your stupid things to this so I don't feel so bad

As a mark of respect for our dearly departed bottle of Johnnie I will also be wearing a black arm band this weekend

I was drunk and dared to walk down John Street Salisbury in drag and i had to buy a box of tampons. I did that and got a carton of beer for my efforts on my way back from the bottle shop i dropped the carton.

Got into a stationary taxi in Shanghai and asked to be taken to the end of Nanjing Road. The cab driver refused. I couldn't understand why, until he pointed to a t-junction that was about 25 metres away and said, "There Nanjing Road."

Didn't put money in to safe at work and left it out all night

Today: had a plumber mate come around to fit a new toilet, only to find that I'd got the wrong type. Instead of the required s-pan (which goes into the ground), I'd bought a p-pan (which goes into the wall) - interesting the initials on these things S&P.

Furthermore, it's a Sunday and no bloody places are open to get a replacement. So my mate who'd travel 40 kays to come and do the job had to put the old loo back in place and go home.

Should this be in the 'things that give you the sh*ts' thread????
