A vote of confidence for Dick Pratt

I am bitterly disappointed in the lack of support for Rob Gerard from our federal politicians. The support he has given to sport and arts in general in this country deserves better. I call on politicians of both parties to stand up and be counted on this matter.

The poor bloke will end up as big a martyr as Joan of Arc.

If no one else will say it I will: "Thanks Dick" Thanks Dick Pratt, not only for supporting the (ahem) Carlton Football Club, but for supporting Australia in general. This country would be for the worse without him.

How many Australians has he employed? It would be in the thousands. I'm sure they appreciate his employment of them. Has put a lot more back into the community than some other businessmen.

Tall poppy syndrome is alive and well in this country. If you've got an issue with successful people in this world have a go at the hundreds who have been proven guilty of wrongdoings and don't give a cent to any charities, sporting organisations, etc.

I'd rather it was that than TIB*

In my dodgy cut-and-paste I forgot to change Gerard to Pratt in the opening sentence...
