Another thread got me thinking,what clashes and crashes over the years stand out in your memory.These could be as varied as you like,from Footy,Cricket,Car racing whatever..

The mention of Tony Lockett's hit on Peter Caven was the incident which got me thinking,just hurts thinking about it, think of a few games of football and cricket,as I said anything.
Then the big car crashes,ala the one at Phillip Island in the V8's a few years ago,not sure who it was (Not a big racing fan),but it might have been Murphy.Flipping,rolling and tearing the car apart.

What about the 91 SANFL GF for total thuggery?
The AFL GF of the last 2 years for excitement?

Crashes would have to be Senna getting killed in the early 90's...remember up late one night on the turps watching the F1's at about 2am when it happened. Tragic.

Clashes I have to agree with 91 SANFL GF...we got belted in every way possible

you might be thinking of Lowndes boon in about 98/99?????? at Calder Park. Everyone who saw it unfold stopped to check to see if he was alright and help him out of the car. Larry Perkins saw he wasnt required and started checking out the underside of the HRT holden

V8 v a Kanagroo at Bathurst 4-5 years ago..still got the email at work showing it....ugly!

As a kid, the Brock vs Johnson battles at Bathurst were always great to watch (probably more so because I was a Brock fan and he seemed to get the better of Johnson most years).

SA vs Vic in the 80's were always hyped to the max, beating the Vics was really sweet.

I also enjoyed the Salisbury vs Salisbury North rivalry - 88 GF from memory was a belter.

Being a football trainer, there isnt a lot that makes me squirm when it comes to sickening clashes, James Hird I could handle, Nathan Browns leg i could handle, but the one I just cant watch is SOS being taken out by Darren Milburn back in 99 or 2000.

I just love hip 'n' shoulders of that calibre.
Justin Murphy (at Geelong at the time), weak bastard, was more interested in taking Carlton's side on the issue.
Me, I nearly sent away for a Geelong Membership...

I recall DJ dropped the magic word one year when he was headed off track? That had me in stitches.

The Mouse got properly cleaned up (but fairly) by Luke Norman at Richmond at the start of the '05 season. Probably the best shirtfront I've seen this decade.

Testament to the Mouse that he played on and was BOG in the remainder of the game.

I forgot Phil G and Roylion earlier this year.

So you can handle a broken face and a s-bend for a leg but you can't handle a late bump? I thought only Blues fans still got their knickers in a not over that? FWIW, the worst Geelong 'dog act' in my view was when Ablett took out Bardsley that day.

I remember that well Punky. A true Geelong man was Justine Murphy, couldn't get back to Carlton quick enough the schlong. Laughed my ar5e off when they lost nearly every match the next season. I thought Milburn's bump was late and reckless but to me what he shouldn't have done is applaud as he walked from the ground...that could have got real ugly.

So what does SOS say today about the incident? 'Nothing in it'. Dead right and Carlton fans have been bleating about it like stuck pigs for years the friggin cheats.
