Further dumbing down of Aussie Rules

Apparently there was a mob/flock/group of Emus running around recently on an oval in Pemberton WA during an AFL match, as reported by Sunrise this morning.

I've never seen a more pointless hill to die on over referring to the sport of Aussie Rules Football as AFL.
We all know what they mean, so why care?

I wish would stop using the incorrect or at best colloquial term for our sport: "Aussie Rules" or "Australian Rules"
The law book gives the correct title of our sport: Australian Football

League match of
Australian
Football... AFL match.
Report is correct.
