What's the best bargain you've ever scored? Could be intentional or accidental (i.e. worth more than you thought it was).
for example, I scored a set of taylormade r7 clubs at a garage sale for $50 including additional titleist wedge, 2 x lob wedges and set of woods, and a bag. Each club on it's own would have been worth more than $50...

I scored pretty much a lifetime supply of tees for next to nothing at an auction.
Scored 5 x 25kg bag of malt for homebrew at about 30% of retail cost.

Once filled up my car with fuel and the decimal was in the wrong spot. Paid genuine 1960's prices for fuel of 14 cents....

Not me but my Aunty, who loves a garage sale, bought a little bracelet for $4 - turned out to be worth over $1500

It's toss the boss night so most people have a 50/50 chance of freebies. The bar maids love me so I get sympathetic tosses.

I was topping up my HK 327 Bathurst Holden at just under 36 cents a
gallon in 1970 ish at the Mobil on NE Rd near just up from Ascot Avenue (corner of Swan Ave I think).
That's just under 8 cents per litre
1UK gal= 4.546090L
