I was 9 at the time.

I was born in 57.

I have 2 sisters.

I remember people coming up to our car when we were stopped at the traffic lights and peering in.

My dad would wave them off, mumbling something that a 9 year old couldn't understand back then.

Can you share your memories....

I remember going to the pat with most of my relations only to see men wading through an empty pat.

My memories of a huge fish but I can not be sure.

Mud and more mud.

The police guys waded through thick mud.

Most of Adelaide was there looking through the eyes of a 9 year old.

I was forbidden to walk around our block alone then.

That was a big thing back in them days.
