Honeymoon Destination Recommendations

Postby wristwatcher » Sat Jul 26, 2014 2:00 pm

Lady Wristy is looking at spending $10,000 in 5 days. If I am going to piss that much of my hard earned away in a week I really want to make sure we are going to the best possible venue.

Does anyone have any honeymoon/ holiday recommendations they would highly recommend either inside or outside of Australia??

You will get much more bang for your buck overseas, even including flights. I would recommend Vanuatu or Thailand.

We it was 7 years ago now but we went to stradbroke island and spent do much money, highly regret it

We went to Hamilton Island for a week and it cost us about $6K. Was really nice and I'm hoping to be able to take mrs NG back for our 10th anniversary.

You could easily spend an extra $4K because we were pretty skimp while there, plus we don't drink so...
I am not talking to you for 3 minutes because you punched me in the head and it hurt and that was not okay for you to do

Where is Hamilton Island? She was looking at Hayman Island I think but it is looking like Fiji can be done for 5k.

1st`marriage - Scotty's Motel then a car trip to Canberra.
2nd - out to dinner then home.
Both times I put the cash saved into a new house instead.

Neither of my wives were the type to be convinced by the commercial hype that one should spend up big on weddings and honeymoon trips so there was no disharmony in the decision making.

Hamilton Island is over rated.

If you've got a bit of cash to splash and want some serenity....try this:

Didnt have a honeymoon as such and placed the funds into the house.

when in a more financial secure situation, hopefully in 16months time will look at a holiday and claim it as the honeymoon.

Im sure Turner Field can be quite a romantic evening with some exotic authentic hotdogs......

I've visited this place ( didn't stay ) for dinner with family. It is, quite simply, stunning.

We walked around some of the grounds, went up Mossman Gorge to the falls, would be an ideal honeymoon destination with Port Douglas and all that it offers only minutes away.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.
