Bathroom Resurfacing

Anyone had experience with this, good or bad? The pics on a site like http://www.remarkabletiles.com.au/ look really appealing but I'd want to see it for real - and also how it would look a couple of years down the track. I've read a few horror stories (eg peeling, scratching) but then good things too - no more grubby grout for one.

Yes we did our Bathroom and Toilet a couple of years ago.
Absolutely brilliant although we used a different fella, one from the Hills.
He was there for two weeks doing a lot of preparation replaced all cracked tiles, did half a dozen coats or so coated the wall tiles, the floor tiles the bench tops the bath even did the solid wood cupboard doors. They also helped with wall painting, the new basin and toilet. There has been one small chip (he would return to fix) where someone dropped a brick on the bench top, I could fix it easily but we are thinking of getting them back for the Laundry so they can do that then. One quarter the cost of a renovated bathroom and toilet.

Cheers for that Alaska. And it looks just as good a couple of years later? Would you mind passing on your guy's details either here or PM?

We did the same to a house we owned (3 houses ago) in Royal Park.

The bloke, as above, took about 3 days to prep the area with some sort of stinking solvent (we had floor polished at the same time while we moved in with family for a week) and then took two days to apply the finish.

Our bathroom was 80's light grey/blue and we went bright white, it made a huge difference. As that house was always a stepping stone we sold two years later and moved on. At that point we had had no chips/scratches/peeling to speak of and was pretty cost effective.

I remember the bloke saying alot of people do this as a stop gap until they can afford to do the bathroom "properly" in the future.Which coincidentally, we did at our next house and are about to enter into again in the coming months. (Christ, I felt like Psyber then)

Why? You never once mentioned anything about banging a ballerina or your 1995 Musso.

I never said that!
Quote me accurately please! ;)

It was 1978, I drove her home after we'd been out, she invited me in, not for coffee, but for Zabaglione: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zabaglione
Impressed by that, I offered to stay for breakfast - I had Eggs Benedict.
She was a keeper - we were both commitment shy, having each been bitten before - but we married a few years later and were together for 24 years - until she died...

It was 2010, I invited my missus around for the first time to watch Get Him To The Greek. A knockoff Bali copy if Im not mistaken. We had a bottle of Bundy, and I was quite impressed with the rate she was consuming it. She stayed the night and I offered to pay for breakfast - I had a Sausage and Egg McMuffin. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/McMuffin

Doesnt sound as good....

I think cars were more designed for that sort of thing back in the day.

True, though one of my mates got his foot stuck in the glove box of his Falcon in the car park behind the Nurses Home at the QEH and his girlfriend had to go get help.
Then he was about 2 metres tall.

That car proved very useful in many locations between 1961 and 1966 - drive ins, back streets, out the back of the QEH Nurses Home near the tennis courts... ;)
