I imagine it would have taken a lot of courage for Ms Stokes to change gender but remain in the same profession in the same city.
I think a lot of people would have made a fresh start in a different environment.
Well done to her for having the courage to do that and hopefully everyone is accepting and welcoming of the change she has made.

There is a well known Adelaide Medical Specialist who has done the same - I think she appeared in a recent SBS programme about Transexualism.

It would be horrible to be a girl in a mans body or visa versa.
