Leave your address if you are prepared to alternatively look after these people.
The government has let us down.
The Government has deserted us with regaurds to mental health.

illegal restraint? I dare YOU to be in the hospital, trying to receive some treatment, whilst someone with a mental health issue is going completely troppo, screaming uncontrollably at innocent people & lashing out & kicking things. Restraint is the only option.

People get shackled all the time in both ED and Mental Health units.
In a previous life I assisted medical and security staff to do so on numerous occasions. Over several years of doing this I would say not too many weeks went by where I was not involved in such a situation. It can be a very confronting situation when someone is in need of physical and then chemical restraint.
I never gave any mental illness much notice until I witnessed people doing things that could only possibly be done by somebody no longer in control of their own body.
Yes, I'd imagine that the government has let down the mental health system, but they also have with health, education, water, electricity.....

I thought this said "Illegal Restaurant", which drew my interest.
On re-reading, this is a non-issue and I'm disappointed I wasted my time clicking on it.

Could please explain more about your concern Dogger. Restraining laws have been tightening up recently. Unfortunately tho with increase/ availability of certain illegal substances, restraining people is sometimes the only safe option to themselves and other people. Aged care has had a major reforms in regards 2 restraining residents. A "No restraint policy" is in place for many nursing homes. Mental health will always be a tricky issue. As long as the best interests 2 the person are being implemented, restraints should somtimes be considered.
