your Pro's and cons please.....

Does it work if you just put it on certain windows in the home or do you have to do it everywhere to get full effect? ie; just in one bedroom to shut out the noise from the traffic outside etc..

I hear it costs a small fortune so just be keen to know whether it's actually worth it.

I knew of someone once who actually ordered double glazing overseas and had it shipped here and it was still cheaper than ordering it here.

Why are you asking this here? ;)

Correct it does cost mega bucks but it depends on your preferences. Sometimes there are no options to achieve the required legislated energy efficiency rating.

Very popular in Europe but here most people here are scared off them by their cost. Given that in Europe they offset their cost by the benefits during harsher conditions.

Lady I work with is looking into it, was told it's about double the price of a normal window. 6mm glass on the inside & 10mm glass on the outside

Cons - Reduces Heating & cooling costs & noise.

Double Glazed.com at 23 Ellemsea Circuit, Lonsdale is next door to where I work.

I mainly want it to reduce noise as I'll be living on a T junction and I know from experience it can get pretty noisy.

thats why I thought someone out there might know if it's worth doing for just one room (main bedroom)

Could be if you also install a double glazed interior bedroom door
