If you love playing pinball but have no where to play since all the arcades have shut down, then u need to try and get along to the Friday night lock ins held at Amusement Worx...

They have been running for the last 2 months and are continuing through October!

Last week they pulled some of the arcade games to make room for more pinballs.. i think there was 14 in total including:

Addams Family
Star Trek TNG x2
Star Trek 25th Anniversary
Cueball Wizard
The Getaway
Fish Tales
Last Action Hero
White Water
Theatre of Magic
Twighlight Zone
and a couple from the 80's

Past weeks they have had a few new 1s like Family Guy & Batman Dark Knight...

The main reason im trying to get as many people there as possible is I want them to keep this running for as long as possible and possibly open a full time pinball arcade!!!

"Lock in" starts at 7.30pm to approx 10.30pm, is only $20 for adults & $10 for kids and includes as much pinball, daytona etc as possible..

Fair chance that one of the multigame tabletop machines would have Wonderboy in it. Or maybe Pengo. ;)

Been meaning to drag myself down there for a while but never made it.

Cheers

Could be keen for this- me and a few mates spent a lot of coin through uni at Flinders in the mid 90s on Addams Family (in the music listening centre) and Star trek (in the tavern).

Loooooved Addams family, and Scared Stiff (the Elvira pinny).

World cup 94 was my best performed pinny. "Its the Boston Tea Party"

Best pinball machine I have ever played was "Queen of Hearts"

Possibly early 70's....?

Often looked for it as a forsale item. No Luck... :(

Manual loading of ball. 5 x ball game.

Julios @ Findon Road.... ;)

Beatles music always played from the Juke Box.

There you could buy smokes individually for $0.04 each....

The complex/shop has been many things since.

Used to use washers in the soccer game. The owner (Julio) would give me an evil eye as I walked in.....

Findon History. :D

That was when the Findon Skid Kids was posibly at their best. :D

From what I hear tonight RJM, it would be an honour to grace the same pinball parlour as yourself.

Sounds like you've been talking to Simon last night. I thought my ears were burning.

I was very close to making it down there last night. It'll happen eventually.

It was good last night.. although rather crowded as half a soccer club turned up..

Took the eldest daughter with me and now she loves playing pinball!

And I did have a chat with Simon, started off just about this thread and then your name come up.. very impressive resume 8-)

Really? That one was awesome. And one for the real old school fans 'Cosmic Princess'.

I was more of a video game player

Galaxian
Galaga
Moon Cresta
1942
Time Pilot
Dig Dug
Jungler
Uni Wars
Burger Time
Rally X

all favourites of mine. Might have to check that place out when I come to Adelaide.

regards,

REB

I dont "own" a machine, as in I dont have one at home.

But I do "own" it whenever I play it... ;)

Had a play on the new AC/DC machine yesterday and was very impressed!

Is probably the best machine from the last few years IMO

Ah gotcha....it's not the hardest pinny to beat though. The old school ones where you had to knock down the targets again and again with a couple of ramps they were pretty hard.

I used to hate 'Haunted House'. Confused the shit out of me LOL.
