I hope he gets the help he needs, but unfortunately we have seen how this story ends many times before.

Hopefully good people can get around him and this can be sorted out.

Yep, it's all too rife, I was seeing this chick 20+ years ago and noticed she was a bit off tap, the crazy vs sexy scale was of a dangerous balance, I broke up only to discover months later she was pregnant.

She would ring my mum paro 7 months pregnant, I felt sorry and went and helped her through the remainder of the term and see what could become of it, I thought she was gonna kill herself otherwise.

The day she got out of hospital she was on the piss, it didn't take much and it was always a flip of the coin of whether I'd get the nicest person in the world or pure evil.

After having an aftershave bottle smashed over my head while I was asleep, a fork stabbed all the way into my arm and a few other things I had to leave.

She refused to let me see my son, moved around like a gypsy so I took her to family court several times at a huge cost and she never showed up on any occasion and it still worked in her favour as it kept getting adjourned.

I have tried many times to contact him with no success, it breaks my heart that someone could be so ruthless, all because it was a way that she didn't have to work, I'm sure there's been a very nasty picture painted of me, she was a habitual liar when I knew her and batshit crazy.

That was when I learnt that you can't change people, you can't be the saviour of someone who doesn't want saving, I was more resilient as a person from then on, it was a very costly lesson though, financially and there will always be a piece of me missing until I meet my son.

What shits me is if the Dad was to up and take the kids away it would be paramount to kidnapping and his face would be on WANTED posters in every state. No equality whatsoever.

A mate of mine got home one day to find his Mrs, step-daughter and his son gone, 15 years on he has no idea where they are ( she's a Kiwi ), never spoken to the lad, doesn't know anything about him. It's a f*cking disgrace.

On topic, I'm glad he was found, I'm not sure he's safe and well, but he's at least been found. What a mole she's turned out to be.

Absolutely, I had a mutual acquaintance ring me one day to tell me that she had gone out and left my then 3 year old son home alone on the Saturday night, he woke up screaming and her neighbours smashed a window to tend to him, the dumb bitch wouldn't give me any info that would help me get him into better care and claimed to "not want to get involved", well you just did.

Woolfy was the driving force and organiser behind recent years banners.
A great guy who was a single dad of 4 kids, 3 of them quite young.

WTF NO WAY

Was our turn on Monday for the dreaded one way trip to the Vet- our 12 year old Airedale Terrier Zoey had got to the point where eating, drinking or even getting up was a real challenge.

Even when you know its the right thing to do it doesn't make it any easier.

Will be tough not seeing her sitting outside my window while I work.

Very sorry to hear that. For sure you have done the right thing.

I've always believed that having a pet as a kind of 'deal' - they promise to give you unconditional love and affection, and in exchange you promise to take care of them, especially when the time comes so that they don't suffer. You've done the right thing by Zoey.

These stories of War Crimes by our soldiers, bloody horrible and embarrassing for us. Hope the punishments are severe.

Always tough. Recently had to do the same to our little one of 14 years.

One thing that will stick with menus the missus next to me in the car as we were outside the vets office crying and saying your not coming home with us this time.

Had a massive eye opener last night.

Got offered a couple of box tickets to the cricket early afternoon to which I obliged, I then decided to just book some accommodation and stay in the city.

Being a Tuesday night I thought I could just find a bar or cafe in the city to have a nightcap after the game so stayed pretty central.

There were gangs galore, it was very confronting with a lot of aggression going on, the poor OTR on North Terrace seemed to be a target for young gangs, I grabbed a coffee from there around 11:30pm and the staff had all sorts of shit going on, twice separate gangs came running in and grabbed whatever they could and went running out, the staff had no chance as they have to backtrack about 8 metres to get around the counter to apprehend them.

I asked “what would you do if you did actually catch them?”

“There’s nothing I can do mate, it’s the only way to get them to run out the store though”.

Give me a Friday or Saturday night in the city any day after that experience.
