Can i tell you a story of missed opportunities?
Ok.
Once upon a time i had a bright idea of buying the Grange collection and bare in mind this was around 94. There was an auction for a set coming up and i suggested to the wife we buy it but naturally she was against it as it would be fetching in the tens of thousands. We only had about 30 or 40k remaining on the house and i wanted to borrow the cash against the house to do so but there was no budging from the leader of the oppostion so i had to watch somebody else scoop the pool for $90000.
Still spewing as we had a good collect on a property investment a couple of years later and i would have owned the bloody thing outright.

How good is this, over 100 views and nobody has claimed to have the Vintage set.

I don't have a set but I have a carton, nearly finished, from the I think it was the second batch, carton signed by Glenn Cooper.
It is beyoooootiful. I had five cartons from that year and slowly drunk them down.
Was going to hold on to this last carton for ever - but decided Christmas was a pretty special occasion last year and would open it.

I still rue and lament drinking a slab of the Duff Beer that was merely repackaged West End.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

You've done well.
I kind of wish that I'd kept this last one.
But...it's nice to share them with others, tbh.

Certainly an acquired taste as it is almost twice the strength of your standard beers.

I bought one over the bar at the Kensington Hotel one day in early 2006 and lo and behold it was from the original '98 edition.

New batch is $70 a slab.
Criminals at the Old Spot are asking $85. Losers.
Very disappointing to see Coopers have dropped the mils per bottle though.
Still tastes good.
