Most boring sport?

Postby Rik E Boy » Mon Jan 02, 2012 9:05 pm

This question bobbed up in the 'Things you rate' thread so I thought a poll might be in order. Time to award your Gold, Silver and Bronze in this three option poll.

Swimming: I love having a swim in the pool or the beach or the river, I can't bloody stand watching it as a sport. I just want to tie a brick around their ankles and drown the ****. The only reason swimmers take up the sport is they're too retarded to run.
Also...why do they have to get up at 0400 to go to practise. The water is the same at midday you wankers.

Golf: Overpaid knobheads trying to hit a ball into a hole, and when they do they take it out of the thing. I like golf as a social game with a beer or three, but as a "sport" vastly over-rated. They should make the **** at least jog to their next shot....

Horse Racing: Biggest yawn fest. Greyhound racing is far better. At least the dogs can A. chase something and B. get around the track without some midget whipping the shit out of it. Next....
The joy of being on the hill drinking beer cannot be understated

Basketball- put each team on 90 points & give them 2 minutes to play & you would get the same result
Swimming- Ian Thorpe forever ensured that only men (who like other men) watch men swimming in speedo's
Lawn Bowls- one foot in the gravers trying to delay the inevitable of knockin' on heavens door

Jeez mate what a crock. I remember watching Lindsay Reeler and Denise Annetts batting up a storm when they televised the women's ashes and it was top notch cricket. If it's a good sport then gender has nothing to do with it. Same if it's (to you) a shit sport. I'd rather watch women's football rather than the NBA anyday because I hate friggin Basketball.

Sorry mate but i do find womens cricket boring as batshit. Most decent grade side would beat the Aussie womens national side outright.
Dont actually mind basketball male or female but thats the great thing about it, each to their own

I don't know about that mate I remember Karen Rolton turning out for Port Adelaide's B Grade I think it was. I reckon the Aussie national team might do allright in Adelaide District Cricket but perhaps not in the stronger domestic scenes over here. To me it does not matter the gender of the player, but what is it they are playing. I've played a lot of (Indoor and Outdoor) Cricket with Women and I've found out that any male player who does not respect their opposition just because they are women soon get found out on the field (with often hilarious results for some of the he-men involved).

I had no idea so many people didn't like watching Swimming. Not surprised Golf is getting a guernsey though, I've always thought that Golf is something you particpate in rather than watch.

Soccer - why anyone would watch a bunch of academy award winning pansies kick a ball around for 90 mins for no score is anyones guess...

Tennis - zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Test cricket - happy to watch all shorter versions of the game but i have better things to do than watching blokes stand around in 40c heat all day and doing not much else.

*edit* - agree with Jim05 for the best part - womens anything (except netball) is crap.

Wouldn't class any of those sports as boring.. maybe the current big bash system, but only because it isn't state vs state.

Where's the synchronized swimming.. now that's ******* boring

No way! Darts is excellent on TV! The players have walk on music just like the wrestlers and there are honeys all over the joint and pissed punters singing like Soccer fans as they drown pint after pint. The final of the World Championship is on tomorrow morning and I'll be tuning in for that one. I'm hoping that Andy Hamilton can tear cocky Adrian Lewis a new one.
