Booney
In the year 2525
If man is still alive
If woman can survive
Its 514 years away
Its less than about 25 generations of our current existing offspring aha aha, at current norMAL birth and death rates
Will the Earth be no more for humans ?

More to the point can we survive with a population of say double to about 14 billion
Will the cities be too polluted,
We may not be safe in this world no more , we might want to sail to a distant shore
Can technology ward of a possible extinction ?

I'm convinced we are already overpopulated.
It doesn't show much here but a lot of the world population have severe water shortages.
Of course there are certain areas that have too much of the stuff too...

Yeah we're overpopulated but lets keep encouraging breeding by paying people to spit more kids out.
It's all the SANFL's fault.

According to some biological law of animals, the human race should be about 1-1.5 billion. 7 Billion heading towards 8 Billion in ten years is just asking for a major cull, perhaps WWIII or some virus running rampant.

Medical advances
There are many lives being extended due to medicines , surgeries etc
The many cures discovered in the last 100 years means many lives are extended
Life expectancy has increased in the last 100 years
There have been reports that new born humans can expect to live to 100+ years in about the years 2100+

Compare this to the events of around 1350
The Black Death went haywire , it is said that between a quarter to a third of the Human population was wiped out in a 5 year period
It is estimated 75-200 million people died from the Black Plague in the 1300's

It is estimated that the worlds population may have been about 450 million b4 the Black Plague
The population then dropped down to about 350-375 million

Could we ever have another catastrophic plague of similar proportions nowadays ?

Q: I’m extra smart. Shouldn’t I pass on my genes?

Well, could you pass a minimal intelligence test if one were required for a “license to breed“?

To find out, simply answer this question:

In light of the tens of thousands of children dying of malnutrition each day, and considering the number of species going extinct as a result of our excessive reproduction, do you think it would be a good idea to create another of yourself?

YES

NO
