Workplace pranks

I've started a prank war with one of the boys at work. It started quite innocently but I can see it spiralling out of control very quickly...

So far all that's been done is I have jammed some toilet paper soiled with a chocolate brownie (the edible version) into his door handle of his car. It looked quite realistic too.

His response was to put some sort of hand cream on my cars door handle...

My idea for my next one is to print off 'I (loveheart) PENIS' to attach to his vehicle over his number plate

There are more in the pipeline but what have you done or heard of or even had done to you? Always looking for more ideas...

Mine have never got that out of hand

Usually swap desk drawers around or hide the tea mugs when a work colleague steps outside for a cigarette.....

The old standby on April Fools Day works a treat.

Give someone a phone message to return a call from a Mr C Lion, Don Key, Ty Ger, or G Raffe. Make the return phone number that of either Adelaide Zoo or Monarto Zoo. Never see it fail yet.

*Chocolate cake with Laxettes....works best if you have a batch of cupcakes so you are all eating one when the victim cops it. Works best on loudmouths or know it alls best.

* I havent personally done this but was told the story and was in tears.

As a 17 year old lacky in the computer industry, I was always sent out to pick up stock .. One day one of the blokes gave me a list of about 12 items to collect, the last of which was a "Random Byte - Incredibly Fragile, must be held at all times"

So after making several stops to collect the first 11 or so items, I get to the final place for the Random Byte where I'm met with "No mate, we're all out go and see <Insert Name> at <Insert Company>"

This goes on for a while whereupon after about the 6th or 7th stop, I'm given a small box and warned by the bloke to treat it like it's nitro-glycerine.

So I cradle this thing all the way back to the office, and after a full day on the road I figure it wisest to take in the most important item first.

Relieved at having succeeded in the important mission, I was gob smacked when my colleague took the item from me and immediately booted the box all the way across the room - "WTF are you doing!!!" I blurted, before he handed me the box and told me to open it.

Inside all it contained was a piece of paper with a chunk bitten out of it, and some small scrawling (complete with arrow) saying "This Bite is particularly random".

Provided a good laugh for a lot of years among colleagues ... The bastards!!

I've sent a bloke on his first day to the local Engineering place to ask for a long weight. He got it all right!

changing the keys around on a computer keyboard is always good for a laugh, especially for a one finger typist.

lol at mickey!

a good one that i did at my current work place was the old print screen replace the wall paper.

so pretty much what u do is do a print screen of their desk top then go into paint or something and paste the print screen in there.

then set that picture as their desktop, then go to the desktop screen right click on the screen and go to "arrange icons by" > Show desktop icons. (un tick this)

so it will look like they have all their icons up but when they click on them nothing happens.

its classic when they ask the pc whizz' what to do

* If he leaves his computer on when he's not there send an e-mail to his boss saying how much he loves working for him.
* If he has a wireless mouse, swap it with someone else's, he'll think he has flat batteries and then he'll think the mouse is shagged.
* If he leaves his car unlocked, turn on the hazard lights, air-con, stereo up full boar, windscreen wipers and any other accessories he has.

Worst thing in hindsight I was involved in was, after a Christmas party, getting a napkin full of prawn heads and sticky taping them to the underside of a colleague's draw. We left it there all Christmas break.....problem was I suffered the after effects as well. It stunk for days, even after we got rid of the set of drawers. Bosses weren't happy but the colleague took it in good fun - he'd been doing pranks on us for weeks before hand.

I used to also be one of those people who sent emails to bosses saying "I've got a crush on you" or "I've decided to quit" and other diatribe from colleagues email addresses. I had one boss (who I sent them email from saying he had a crush on him, to his boss (also male)) chase me across the floor till I apologised and said I wouldn't do it again. Angry Hungarian Bastard. His boss was bemused by the whole thing.

One of my old work colleagues used to wait till you were on the krapper and the toilet block was otherwise empty, then turn the lights out.

Another one - pick the handset up on your colleagues phone, then sticky tape the little button that registers that the handset has been picked up. Then ring him/her.

We used to take the ball of the mouse out - can't do that anymore. I've also used sticky tape to buggrr up the laser of the mouse, changed keyboards to Dvorak....that's fun! Changed mobile phones to an either embarrassing ringtone or changed their language to hebrew or something undistinguishable.

As you can see I've worked in offices for a long time.
