Here's a little bargain for anyone planning to move to Edinburgh

Garage in Edinburgh city centre on sale for £150,000

A garage has gone on the market in Edinburgh for more than the cost of some flats in the city.

The 18ft x 18ft building in NE Thistle Street Lane is up for sale for £150,000.

Agents Fraser Brooks & Co said the parking spot, which lies between George Street and Queen Street in the city's New Town, has room to fit two cars.

It is advertised at a fixed price and is described as being in an "excellent condition throughout".

A one bedroom flat in the city's Abbeyhill can be bought for about £90,000, while properties in Wester Hailes can begin at £50,000.

Kenneth Cameron, a partner at Fraser Brooks, said Edinburgh's city centre was very residential compared to Glasgow or London.

"The New Town, in particular, is becoming increasingly residential and parking is of course a major problem," he added.

Mr Cameron added that garages had been trading "relatively healthily" in the city and had also been doing well in the rental market.

To save you having to do the maths...that's about 241,000$AU

haha you wish...I think that's there to give a sense of scale...it's just that concrete box with the up-and-over door....nothing else...no car, no house, no apartment.
