Used to jump on the ol Red Hens and go for a cruise sitting next to the open door, lookin back... how bloody dangerous lol
Can remember me and my 2 brothers loading up our water pistols, hiding in drain alongside track and jumpin up and spraying into the open doors!
One driver hit the brakes and the conductor jumped out the door and went and told my mum, while the train waited
Very good memories

Sounds like my childhood at Munno Para.
Lived adjacent to the line there.
Most stories don't relfect well on a silly young man.
However, this one's okay for public consumption:
Goods train slowed down through MP station one day, so I hopped on the back and caught it to Lizbef for Macca's.
Got as far as Smithy and decided to hop off.
