The other wedding thread has got me thinking about my wedding and my sons pending wedding.

And because I'm sooooo bored at the moment - have no work on - I am going to take it out on you guys by creating another 'wedding' based thread on a 'male dominated' footy forum

2 questions....

Where did you get married?
What was your 'wedding song'?

or if it's up and coming

Where are you getting married?
What is going to be your 'wedding song'?

:D

**Edit - feel free to add any 'funny' stories from your wedding day :D

We got married nearly 20 years ago at a place called Windsong Gardens at Morphett Vale.
I just looked it up and it doesn't exist anymore :(

Our wedding song was If I Could - 1927

The Bride 'meee' - lol - arrived a few minutes early - the Groom and groomsmen where in a small room off the garden watching the VFL grandfinal - and had to scramble to their positions before I walked 'down the isle'

Our wedding was conducted as a surprise during our very formal engagement party. Sneaky hey? 8)

Was in the ballroom at The Palais at Semaphore on Feb 6th 1999. Twelve years coming up at the end of the week.

Our wedding song was to be Led Zeppelin "Thankyou", as it turns out the CD got left home and we ended up with Celine Dion and her Titanic number. :(

Our wedding was a "surprise reception". Everyone was waiting to surprise me for my birthday when I got there but the surprise was on them as we actually got married. We didn't want gifts so we thought it was easier this way.

Married down in the square at Henley, on a sunny Sunday morning, cocktail style reception @ Stellas.
When I had drunk quite a few beers near the end of the day, I accidentally asked one of my wifes cousins when she was due. She had given birth 2 weeks prior. do you think my wife was happy with me after that? :axe:

I've done that to a mates missus and she wasn't pregnant, she wasn't very fond of me after that..............since actually, never spoken to me again 15 years later.

I did that once - was trying to be a nice bank teller by creating conversation and asking the question "How long before you're due?"
Turns out the customer wasn't even pregnant
Have NEVER asked the question of anyone ever again...lol
