Following on from just reading Psyber's post about not manufacturing/selling certain products...
(hopefully I got that right - I only read it briefly...lol)

What did you used to by religiously that they just don't make anymore.

For us it was Kraft Creamy Egg Mayonnaise - best tasting mayonnaise ever and they took it off the shelf

Also - just lately - really annoyed by the fact that Cottee's downsized their cordial and thickened it up - as my family still drink it the same as before even though it's as thick as syrup !!

And while on the subject I know of a supermarket that had dozens and dozens of old cottees 2lt bottles, but instead of selling them (cheap) they threw them out

One I miss that you might have had over there too as it's a global brand was Sun-Pat Cheddar Cheese Spread.

It's the same company that make the peanut butter and came in the same style of jars. I think it disappeared in the early 1990's. It was so yummy...like a Kraft Dairylea Spread but for grownups.

as i work for coles i get asked alot of questions why things arent made anymore. Its due to the manufacturor seeing the product is not selling enough and its cost them more to make it and keep it on the shelves.

I used to buy the lemon and lime flavour of the above drink all the time, until they stopped selling it anywhere about a year ago.

Something I have never found made is coat hangers for XL shirts. I can never find a coat hanger that is big enough and doesnt leave pinch marks in the shoulders. Help please.

Seriously? i reckon they sell that flavour at work. I'll check if i ever get back there

In that case having looked in every clothing store in town you can add normal smart/casual jeans to the list. The only jeans available all look as if they've been stolen from a decomposing tramp Never at any time in my life have I wanted a pair that a charity shop would refuse to take. Bring back the old jeans shops that we had in the 70's and 80's...nothing but denim in all sizes, all colours and all styles...fantastic.
