If someone is interested enough i pose this question:
Which Holiday of the year should all Australians be able to enjoy with a total day off?
A. Good Friday
B. Australia Day
My vote is easily Australia Day as i work in hospitality, and today i lost count of people telling me how nice it was outside & isn't it great to be an Aussie.
Yes it is, and i would love to celebrate it too, & i would gladly work Good Friday any year.

Good Friday isn't a official public holiday in Italy, nor France (only a couple of regions), nor the United States, nor Russia, nor Japan, nor Thailand and they don't celebrate it in United Arab Emirates either![]()
The list of countries which don't have a public holiday on the Good Friday is huge. Just about every Muslim country wouldn't celebrate Easter, same for huge parts of Asia where Christianity is a secondary religion.
Hell they even play Serie B Football in Italy on Good Friday....
