absolutely fantastic what money is being raised for breast cancer but what would glenns new wife be feeling with all the attention placed on her new hubby and his first wife. i know a couple - the blokes first wife died and whilst there is a respect there, the first wife thing isnt at the forefront of their lives unlike glenn and jane mcgrath, it must be very difficult for the new mrs mcgrath

Wouldn't have thought so. It's not like she didn't have any warning who Glenn's first missus was, and I'm pretty sure she does work for the foundation too.

Agree SJABC. It could put pressure on the relationship, but I'm sure it's probably something they talked about in-depth and she would know how important it is to him and knew what she was getting herself into.

Pidge's wife would have been well aware of what she was getting into, given the profile of the McGrath family and the esteem in which Jane was held .. I think it's something she would have accepted a long time ago (and if she hasn't then it's going to be a difficult road for their partnership)

Playing "second fiddle" to whom? That's a rather biggoted assessment if I do say so. Plenty of people remarry, not all are selfish individuals and you might want to hope the same doesn't occur in your life, minus the "Stampy Foundation"

Maybe you should concentrate on that rather than trying to doom Glenn's attempt at having a second chance at a loving relationship.

The only thing you seem to be suggesting is that you wouldn't have the strength of character to be Glenn's second wife. He's not the first well known person to remarry after the death of a spouse and he won't be the last...some will succeed, some won't...no different to any walk of life.

Don't worry I understood what you were trying to get at.

I'm guessing the last few days would have been hard on Sara. In any relationship when any kind of ex comes up in your life for whatever reason it brings up a lot of insecurity and irrational thoughts. It's human nature.

I must admit Stampy, I asked myself the same question.

I guess she would know his main aim in life now is to raise money for the foundation so she knew what she was getting into.

If she can't live with the shadow then it's her problem.
