It's been a pretty 'run of the mill' year in 2010 for the wife and I, not too many
highlights other than:
- Quit smoking - from a pack a day to cold turkey (haven't had a smoke now for close to 6 months

)
- Central won another Premiership
- My wife got a promotion at work
- I got a (small) pay rise
- Spent our 1st Wedding Anniversary in the Clare Valley (the place we got married)
- Went to Port Lincoln for work - love it over there
- Adelaide Bite (baseball) playing in new ABL at the Parade
- Norwood Food & Wine Festival (the Parade is about 300m walking distance from our front door)
- Close friends finally had their first child after a long time trying
- My wife surprised me with an amazing Valentine's Day Lunch up in the Hills
- Brother got engaged
- Went to Clipsal 500 with my wife on her birthday and stayed for Hilltop Hoods concert
- Went to the McLaren Vale Day On the Green - Simply Red - with my wife
Lowlights of 2010:
- Had my first ever operation - full knee reconstruction
- Put on more weight from quitting smoking and not being able to excercise because of knee reco
- 2 close friends had major operations - 1 a knee replacement, the other a double hip replacement
- Mother-in-law went from bad to worse with her mental health issues
- Wife worked some crazy crazy hours and was stressed out to the maxxxxxxx even after the promotion
- Didn't have a 'holiday' as such - the Wedding Anniversary was only an overnight stay in Clare
- Being in pain and on crutches at Christmas
- Our cats were both sick at varying times throughout the year costing us much more in vet bills than I would have liked
- Not winning millions in X-Lotto
Looking forward to 2011 being better than this year, even if just in a slight way, but will definately be taking the wife on a holiday...
