Does anyone know if you can post mail using the old South Australian property address system of "section XXX, hundred of XXXXXXXX" here in S.A.??? I want to post a letter to the residents of this country address but i've only got their address in the old section/hundred system.

Cheers.

What is the hundred they are in - if there's no privacy issue in you saying so?

Hundred of Wakefield/Alma...their property stradles two hundreds.

I see. Well, I don't know the answer to your question of course, but I thought it would be a good idea to work out the address from your information, if you can't send it via the section/hundred method.

I'd be checking if they had an RMB or something similar..

I know we've insured sections/hundred of as risk addresses at work, but not sure if we've kept any of them as postal addresses..

Try putting the info that you know into a search on property assist: https://www.propertyassist.sa.gov.au/pa/public.phtml

The search may reveal the street address.

When I lived in the on a Part Section, in the Hundred of Kuitpo I had to get a PO Box, but I got a concessional price because their was no postal delivery to where I lived.

It's been a few years but the mail centre used to have a list of hundreds and where they forwarded to. As long as it gets to the right country office, the addressing is fine, 99/100 the country postal officers will know who it is anyway.
