In true bloke tradition I haven't done any Christmans shopping yet ... in fact I haven't even thought about it.
I'm relying on the missus to bail me out again this year ... she hasn't let me down yet in 18 years.
I suspect I'm no orphan ...

Ahhh yep-
My husband thinks it's very funny every year to turn to the person who just opened a present from us and ask if he can have a look at what 'we' bought them

This year I actually prepared and did my Christmas shopping last month.
Wrapping them up is another story altogether though...

I know for a fact that I shop best under pressure.
When you know you only have an hour or so to buy half a dozen presents
its amazing how clearly you think!

I went to 2 sports stores today to buy some golf balls for a family member who is an avid golfer. Couldn't believe they don't sell golf balls any more!
Does anyone know if stores like Dick Smith, Harvey Norman, Good Guys etc, have post xmas sales on tvs etc just after xmas. I'm looking at buying a tv and PVR and hoping i'll get a good deal week after next week.

Did you end up getting some? I find your franchise Sports Store are useless for this 'niche' market. Better off going that extra distance to a specialist store

I usually leave all my shopping till about a week before christmas - but that's mostly because my daughters birthday is only 10 days beforehand and we'll usually organising something for that before we can even think about Christmas. And also because I like to just go on one day and get it all over and done with.
This year I've actually ordered a few things online for the first time.
Talk about convenient - it's great
The worst thing in the world is Christmas
food shopping - you always need to take your patience pills before going to do that !!
Not looking forward to that bit one bit

This thread reminds me that I had meant to buy a Christmas present for a lady I know.
It's a bit tricky to find something that says something like "thanks"and "I like you" without implying anything more and setting up a misunderstanding to deal with later...
I'd better get off the computer and nick out for a look around.
