Function Rooms

Postby kicks.like.a.girl » Wed Dec 01, 2010 11:15 am

Not sure if this has been done before... so i'll start a new one :D haha

I'm currently in the process of finding a function room for my 21st... YAY :d ... even though it's not until April

I thought i had it all planned out, and was going to have it at the Oriental... however, for the amount of people i want to invite, the Oriental is too small.

Now i'm trying to find another function room, and i'm not having much luck.

I need a room big enough for approx 150 people (but, obviously every single person wont show up). Being from the North, i (well more so my parents) preferably dont want to go any further than the southern outskirts of the City.

Has anyone been to any decent functions that they can please share [-o<

... if you find me the perfect place i might even invite you :-P lol

Griffins head is good, also Crowne Plaza. Function room is on the 15th floor and has great views of the city!

Check the one out next to the Parafield Gardens swimming centre, i can't think of the name but it is well sized and perfect for summer events as it has a pretty large enclosed garden aswell.

the last few locations are very close to home... but i do take the safety of my party-goers into account when planning things

Tomorrow night i'm going in to meet with the function people at The Lion and The Caledonian.

I also just rang the Griffins Head and had a great chat with a guy there who i'm going in to see on Saturday afternoon.

Salisbury FC is out of contention as i spend way to much time there as it is, haha.

Greatly appreciate all of the suggestions guys... keep 'em coming :-bd

Semaphore Palais is excellent.

If you're looking for the city, I've been to bucks shows at both the Havelock and Asta and both were tops (long time ago though, not sure if still available)
